One of the hardest things about teaching with comprehensible input is that when the focus is on input, there aren’t as many grades in the gradebook! My solution is an exit ticket system.

These exit tickets work for ANY story, reading or lesson you’ve done in class. Just add questions! Keep a folder of them at your desk, pull one out at the end of the day’s lesson, and you have a quick formative check that also shows you which structures need more reinforcement.
