Our purpose
Somewhere to Share exists to support teachers with engaging, proficiency-driven resources for language learning. When you purchase our materials, you are receiving a license to use them in your teaching — not ownership of the intellectual property.
✔ What you CAN do
When you purchase a resource, you may:
- Use the materials in your own classroom (in-person or virtual)
- Share materials with your students through a secure, closed platform (Google Classroom, LMS, etc.)
- Print or project materials for student use
- Adapt activities for your own classroom instruction
✘ What you may NOT do
Without written permission, you may NOT:
- Share files with other teachers or departments
- Post materials publicly online or on shared drives
- Resell, redistribute, or upload resources to third-party platforms
- Modify materials and share them as your own
- Use content in a competing product or curriculum
Presentations & professional learning use
Somewhere to Share ideas, strategies, and frameworks may inspire your own teaching and presenting. We ask that you:
- Do not present Somewhere to Share activities, slides, or frameworks as original work
- Give credit when presenting ideas created by Somewhere to Share
- Avoid sharing or distributing Somewhere to Share presentation materials without permission
- Request permission before adapting materials for paid workshops, courses, or commercial PD
We value collaboration and are happy to discuss partnerships or co-presenting opportunities.
School & team licenses
If multiple teachers need access, additional licenses must be purchased. District or transferable licenses may be available upon request.
Intellectual property
All Somewhere to Share materials remain copyrighted. Purchasing a resource grants a limited license for classroom use only.
